Agency Reports Submitted to the General Assembly

Section 101.68(B) of the Revised Code requires that when reports must be submitted to the General Assembly, copies of the reports must be submitted to the Director of the Legislative Service Commission (LSC). Section 101.68(C) requires LSC to monthly inform each member of the General Assembly of the reports received. Below is the annotated bibliography of reports recently submitted to LSC. The bibliography, compiled by the LSC Library staff, also includes other documents that may be of interest to legislators. Report required by R.C. 3313.6024; describes types of risky behaviors prevention-focused programs, services, and supports provided in Ohio schools for each grade kindergarten through 12 for the school years 2021-2022 and 2022-2023; during the 2021-2022 school year, more than 88% of responding schools offered prevention-focused curricula, and in 2022-2023, more than 93% of schools offered such programs.

INDIGENT DEFENSE STUDY TASK FORCE, OHIO.

Report required by Section 6 of H.B. 150 of the 134th General Assembly; the task force was charged to study Ohio’s indigent defense system and provide recommendations to the General Assembly regarding the delivery, structure, and funding of indigent defense; contains testimony presented to the Task Force and letters submitted by several members detailing their takeaways and recommendations; makes several recommendations including pursuing a fiscal analysis of the indigent defense system, investigating the possibility of a centralized system under the State Public Defender, and establishing regional offices to assist in delivery of services to underserved areas.
