Agency Reports Submitted to the General Assembly

Section 101.68(B) of the Revised Code requires that when reports must be submitted to the General Assembly, copies of the reports must be submitted to the Director of the Legislative Service Commission (LSC). Section 101.68(C) requires LSC to monthly inform each member of the General Assembly of the reports received. Below is the annotated bibliography of reports recently submitted to LSC. The bibliography, compiled by the LSC Library staff, also includes other documents that may be of interest to legislators. CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL SCHOOL DISTRICT

PERFORMANCE FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR, October 22, 2024, 13 pages

Report required by H.B. 525 of the 129th General Assembly (2011-2012) and R.C. 3311.741; rates the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, both district schools and partnered/sponsored charters, on a scale of 1-5 stars for metrics found in the state report cards; the district received an overall rating of 3 stars, meeting state standards for the first time in the history of the modern state report card.

Report required by R.C. 101.354; aggregation of regulatory reduction progress reports from all revelant agencies; form of report may vary each year, appearing as a table displaying statistics of the number of rules and restrictions per agency, or a questionnaire with detailed descriptions of each agency's decision-making process. Additional two-page addendum contains updated response from the Department of Development.

STATE SPENDING BY COUNTY, FY 2024, 211 pages

Uses data from state agencies and the Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS) to provide a picture of how state funds are distributed among Ohio's 88 counties; focuses on two types of expenditures made by state agencies: subsidy and capital; classifies state subsidy and capital disbursements into seven categories: education, general government, health and human services, justice and corrections, transportation and infrastructure, revenue distribution, and "COVID-19 Relief" distributions.
