Section 101.68(B) of the Revised Code requires that when reports must be submitted to the General Assembly, copies of the reports must be submitted to the Director of the Legislative Service Commission (LSC). Section 101.68(C) requires LSC to monthly inform each member of the General Assembly of the reports received. Below is the annotated bibliography of reports recently submitted to LSC. The bibliography, compiled by the LSC Library staff, also includes other documents that may be of interest to legislators. RECOMMENDATIONS REPORT, October 2023, 70 pages
The Ohio Attendance Taskforce was composed of current superintendents and building principals, business and foundation leaders, members of the Ohio juvenile court system and other experts in attendance and engagement-related issues; the group met through the summer to form its recommendations, which focus on positive approaches to addressing absenteeism, including expanding the state's Stay in the Game Attendance Network initiative, increasing direct communication between families and schools, cultivating engaging environments, creating more supports for schools and districts, and advocating for legislation and policy changes to reduce administrative burdens and allow for increased flexibility.

Report required by Section 307.300(C)(1) of H.B. 110 of the 134th General Assembly; a review of the state’s public assistance programs, including (1) previous and existing welfare-to-workforce county-administered programs and their effectiveness in assisting individuals in returning to the workforce and achieving sustainable employment, (2) previous and existing fraud prevention efforts at the state and county levels in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the Medicaid program, Ohio Works First (OWF), and publicly funded child care, (3) the prevention of benefit overpayments in SNAP, Medicaid, and publicly funded child care, both at the state and county levels, and (4) how using technology to process public assistance cases may create efficiencies and reduce errors; accompanied by a zip file containing materials presented to the Task Force from May 17, 2022 through April 18, 2023.
