Agency Reports Submitted to the General Assembly

Section 101.68(B) of the Revised Code requires that when reports must be submitted to the General Assembly, copies of the reports must be submitted to the Director of the Legislative Service Commission (LSC). Section 101.68(C) requires LSC to monthly inform each member of the General Assembly of the reports received. Below is the annotated bibliography of reports recently submitted to LSC. The bibliography, compiled by the LSC Library staff, also includes other documents that may be of interest to legislators. PERFORMANCE FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR, October 25, 2022, 15 pages

Report required by H.B. 525 of the 129th General Assembly (2011-2012); explains that the usual report relies on an A-F ranking system currently being phased out, and due to changes in rating structure and metric calculations, there is not enough data to adequately measure schools; for the metrics that are available it reports gains in all subgroups following pandemic setbacks.

PROPOSED 2023 OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGETS, November 14, 2022, 7 pages

Report required by R.C. 5537.17(H); cover letter notes the proposed operating budget reflects a $24.0 million increase in revenues and a $6.1 million increase in operating expenses from the last year's budget; cover letter also indicates the proposed capital expenditures include replacing 12.3 lane miles of the original concrete base pavement, resurfacing 52 lanes of roadway and two interchanges, eight bridge deck replacements, one continued bridge replacement project, replacement of another large bridge, replacement of the turnpike's largest bridge over the Cuyahoga River Valley, and the continued modernization of the toll collection system; includes tentative listing of all the capital projects planned for 2023.
