Agency Reports Submitted to the General Assembly

Section 101.68(B) of the Revised Code requires that when reports must be submitted to the General Assembly, copies of the reports must be submitted to the Director of the Legislative Service Commission (LSC). Section 101.68(C) requires LSC to monthly inform each member of the General Assembly of the reports received. Below is the annotated bibliography of reports recently submitted to LSC. The bibliography, compiled by the LSC Library staff, also includes other documents that may be of interest to legislators. AGING, OHIO. DEPT. OF

ANNUAL REPORT 2021, 37 pages

Report required by R.C. 173.01; contains statistics about older Ohioans; highlights initiatives supported by the state budget and the State Plan on Aging; reviews the year's departmental activities and accomplishments in the areas of caregiver infrastructure, protecting the independence and vitality of older Ohioans, the effect of the opioid crises on older Ohioans, and the expansion of nutritional and other services to promote health living.

DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, OHIO. DEPT. OF

ANNUAL REPORT, FY 2021, 23 pages

Report required by R.C. 5123.33; infographics used to report expenditures, grant expenditures, and expenditures by programs; explains how services are provided through the county boards of developmental disabilities; briefly describes the service programs and the number of persons served in each program: early intervention, employment first, multi-system youth, supportive technology, support to families through the Family Advisory Council  and residential care facilities.

Report required by R.C. 103.143; contains a compilation of "As Enacted" fiscal notes for bills requiring a local impact statement in 2021; includes comments from four local government associations.

SCHOOL SAFETY CENTER, OHIO.

ANNUAL SCHOOL SAFETY REPORT, 2021, 27 pages

The Ohio School Safety Center annually reviews about 5,600 PreK through 12th grade school emergency management plans and offers free security and vulnerability assessments to schools throughout the state; describes strategies involving anonymous reporting systems, behavioral threat assessment and management, emergency management planning, mental health resources, proactive social media scanning, school-based law enforcement, and security and vulnerablility assessments; briefly describes activities of the Governor's Ohio School Safety Working Group and the 2021 Virtual Ohio School Safety Summit.
