Section 101.68(B) of the Revised Code requires that when reports must be submitted to the General Assembly, copies of the reports must be submitted to the Director of the Legislative Service Commission (LSC). Section 101.68(C) requires LSC to monthly inform each member of the General Assembly of the reports received. Below is the annotated bibliography of reports recently submitted to LSC. The bibliography, compiled by the LSC Library staff, also includes other documents that may be of interest to legislators. CATALOG OF BUDGET LINE ITEMS (COBLI), 2021 edition, October 2021, 717 pages
Prepared by the Legislative Budget Office of the Legislative Service Commission; provides relevant information on every line item of a state agency; the catalog includes a table for each line item that indicates the fund to which the line item belongs, the line item number, the line item title, and a six-year funding history; includes a brief description of that line item, including the revenue source, legal basis, and purpose.
ANNUAL REPORT FISCAL YEAR 2021, 83 pages
States the Department's mission core values; first section presents numerous infograhics depicting staff statistics and demograhics; remainder of document is organized around the departmental organizational structure, with extensive use of infographics: Office of Prisons, Parole and Community Services, Office of Administration, Holistic Services, Legal Services, and the Chief Inspector's Office; the last section, "Appendix," provides broad explanations of laws and definitions used by the Department.
COVID-19: A YEAR IN REVIEW, 13 pages
Report focuses on 2020; details the numerous steps the Department took to respond to the pandemic: distributing COVID-19 vaccines to employees and the incarcerated population in line with the state's vaccine distribution plan, administering COVID-19 tests to every person who enters a Department facility, including staff, contractors, and visitors; outlines ongoing efforts including wastewater testing, manufacturing and distributing personal protective equipment, cleaning products, soap, and installing physical barriers.
