10 appointed by Governor with advice and consent of Senate: 2 must be members of paid fire services, 1 must be a member of volunteer fire services, 2 must be mayors, managers, or members of legislative authorities of municipal corporations, 1 must represent commerce and industry, 1 must represent a fire insurance company domiciled in Ohio, 1 must represent the flammable liquids industry, 1 must represent the construction industry, and 1 must represent the public. All must be qualified by experience and training to deal with matters that are the responsibility of the Commission. Not more than 6 of same political party. Ex officio and generally nonvoting: Fire Marshal or Fire Marshal's Chief Deputy, a representative of the Department of Public Safety with tenure in fire suppression, and a representative designated by the Board of Building Standards; in case of tie only, Fire Marshal or Fire Marshal's Chief Deputy may vote. |
