Qualifications
Directors of Agriculture and Health jointly appoint 3 representatives of retail food establishments, 3 representatives of food service operations, 4 representatives of boards of health or health departments operated by boards of health, 1 representative of the academic community knowledgeable in food science or food technology, and 1 representative of the general public who is not employed by the state or a political subdivision and has no pecuniary interest in a retail food establishment or food service operation. The Directors must jointly consult with statewide trade and professional organizations that represent the interests of those establishments and operations in making Council appointments. Director of Agriculture and Director of Health, or their designees, are nonvoting members.
