Qualifications
The Director of Commerce appoints 3 contractors with recognized ability and experience in the construction of residential buildings, 2 building officials with experience administering and enforcing a residential building code, 1 person from the fire service who is certified as a fire safety inspector and has at least 10 years experience enforcing fire or building codes, 1 residential contractor with recognized ability and experience in remodeling residential and construction of buildings, 1 registered architect with recognized ability and experience in the architecture of residential buildings, and 1 mayor of a municipal corporation in which the Ohio Residential Building Code is being enforced by a certified building department. The "fire service" member must be chosen from a list of 3 names the Ohio Municipal League submits.
