Under specified circumstances, the Commission may establish an organized crime task force to investigate organized criminal activity in a county or in two or more counties (R.C. 177.02).
Qualifications
Governor appoints 6 members with advice and consent of Senate. Of the 6, 2 must be prosecuting attorneys, 2 must be county sheriffs, and 2 must be chief municipal law enforcement officers. Attorney General or a designee of the Attorney General is ex officio member and serves as chairperson. Not more than 4 members can be members of the same political party. Each member may designate another person to represent the member on the Commission. Members may be reappointed.
