Each Governance Board member shall have experience or an interest in the criminal justice operations and data collection. Membership should be broad-based and multi-disciplinary to represent a cross section of interests related to the development of a searchable, shared sentencing database and reflect the gender, racial, ethnic, and geographic diversity of the state.
(1) For the three judges of the courts of common pleas, two, and three years, respectively; (2) For the two judges of the courts of appeals, two and three years, respectively; (3) For the three representatives of academia, two, and three years, respectively; (4) For the member of the House of Representatives, member of the Senate, county prosecutor, sheriff, clerk of court, county commissioner, two years; (5) For the court administrator, chief probation officer, police chief, criminal defense lawyer, and victim's representative, criminal justice coordinating council, member of the public, judicial conference, three years; (6) For the Chief Justice, Governor, Attorney General, State Public Defender, as long as they hold their respective position; (7) For the chair of the Commission’s Uniform Sentencing Entry Ad Hoc Committee, indefinite. |
