The Board is exempt from Sunset Review per R.C. 101.82(A)(9) and 4764.05. Pursuant Section 8 of H.B. 442 of the 133rd G.A., the licensing functions of the Board are scheduled to expire under R.C. 101.62 on 12/31/2027.
Qualifications
The Governor appoints five members who are licensed home inspectors. The President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House each shall appoint one member who represents the public and has no financial interest in the home inspection industry. Persons appointed during the first year after the effective date of the Act need not be licensed (Section 6 of Sub. S.B. 255 of the 132nd G.A.).
