Qualifications
Governor must appoint 9 members from among health researchers, health planners, and health professionals and 2 members to represent the Lupus awareness and education program. House Speaker must appoint 2 House members, not more than 1 of whom is a member of the same political party, and Senate President must appoint 2 Senate members, not more than 1 of whom is a member of the same political party. Legislative members are nonvoting. The Directors of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services, Health, Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Job and Family Services, or their designees, and the Superintendent of Public Instruction, or the Superintendent's designee, are also members.
