Qualifications
7 appointed by Governor with the advice and consent of Senate: selected because of their knowledge of and experience in industrial, business, and commercial financing, suretyship, and construction and understanding of problems of minority business enterprises; 1 member of the Senate appointed by the Senate President; 1 member of the House appointed by the House Speaker. If a legislator member is absent, either the legislator's appointing authority, or a member of the same house of the same political party as the absent member, as designated by that appointing authority, serves in the absent member's place. No more than 4 of the Governor's appointees can be members of the same political party.
