Qualifications

All 12 members appointed by the Governor. 9 are physicians and surgeons licensed to practice in Ohio; 7 must hold the degree of Doctor of Medicine, 1 the degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, and 1 the degree of Doctor of Osteopathy. 1 member must represent the interests of consumers; an additional 2 members also must represent the interests of consumers and must not be a member of, or associated with, a health care provider or profession. At least one of the consumer members must be at least age 60.
