The statute provides permanent authority for, but does not require, the President of Ohio University to create an advisory committee. Presumably an advisory committee that has been created will dissolve when it is not needed and be recreated by the President as necessary.
Qualifications
The President of Ohio University or the President's designee, the mayor of the city of Athens or the mayor's designee, and the following members: 1 Athens county commissioner, 1 to 3 individuals who reside in Athens county and have special knowledge and experience in land use planning, preservation, or economic development.
