Industrial Commission Nominating Council
Governor appoints 4 employer representatives, 4 labor representatives, and 2 public members. Public members must be of different political parties. Labor representatives must be appointed from a list of 8 names submitted by the Ohio Federation of Labor, and employer representatives must be appointed from a list of 8 names submitted jointly by the major statewide industry organizations representing self-insuring employers, manufacturers, retail merchants, and chambers of commerce (2 names from each group), provided that such organizations have been in existence since prior to 11/3/74, and further provided that from the list of organizations representing industry, the Governor must appoint at least 1 member from each of the organizations that represent self-insuring employers, manufacturers, retail merchants, and chambers of commerce. 1 public member must represent the interests of small business.
