Qualifications
(1) Two members of the House of Representatives appointed by the Governor, one member being from the majority party and one member being from the minority party; (2) two members of the Senate appointed by the Governor with one member being from the majority party and one member being from the minority party; (3) the following three nonvoting ex officio members: (a) the Superintendent of Public Instruction; (b) the Chancellor of Higher Education; (c) the Director of Veterans Services; (4) eight members be appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate: (a) at least three members shall be involved in Holocaust and genocide memorial and education or have a personal connection or experience with the Holocaust or genocide; (b) at least three members shall have expertise regarding the Holocaust and investigation, analysis, or research regarding genocide.
