Ohio History Connection is a nonprofit corporation chartered by the state that performs certain public functions prescribed by law.
Qualifications
Board consists of 21 voting members and 13 nonvoting ex officio members. 9 voting members are appointed by Governor; 9 voting members are elected by the Society's membership; and 3 voting members are elected by the Board itself. Ex officio: Senate President, House Speaker, Senate Minority Leader, House Minority Leader, President of the Ohio Association of Historical Societies and Museums, President of the Ohio Academy of History, President of the Ohio Academy of Science, Governor, Chancellor of Board of Regents, Superintendent of Public Instruction, Director of Development, Chair of the Ohio Historical Society Development Council, and Chair of the Society's Foundation Board.
