Qualifications
Not more than 7 individuals knowledgeable in the area of dietetics. A majority of the council members must be individuals actively engaged in the practice of dietetics who meet the requirements for licensure to practice dietetics. The board must include on the council 1 educator with a doctoral degree who holds a regular faculty appointment in a dietetics program, and 1 member who is not affiliated with any health care profession, who must be appointed to represent the interest of consumers. The Ohio Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, or its successor organization, may nominate the names of up to 3 qualified individuals for consideration by the board in making appointments for each vacancy on the council.
