Qualifications
Governor appoints 11 members with the advice and consent of the Senate. No reappointment after serving a full 9-year term or more than 6 years of a 9-year term, until 4 years have elapsed since the last day of the term for which the trustee previously served. 2 members must be Cleveland State students and are nonvoting. Student members are not considered in determining quorum and are not entitled to attend executive sessions. Student members appointed from a group of 5 candidates selected pursuant to a procedure adopted by the university's student governments and approved by the Board.
