Qualifications
Governor appoints 15 members: 1 person with recognized ability and experience in the manufacture and construction of industrialized units; 1 building codes and construction materials expert with at least 10 years' experience; 1 attorney admitted to the Ohio bar; 2 registered architects; 2 Ohio-licensed professional engineers (1 mechanical engineer and 1 structural engineer); 1 person of recognized ability with 15 years' experience in construction; 1 member of a fire service with recognized ability and broad training in fire protection and suppression; 1 general contractor with experience in residential and commercial construction; 2 general contractors who have recognized ability in the construction of residential buildings chosen from a list of 10 names submitted by the Ohio Home Builders Association; 1 person with recognized ability and experience in the use of advanced and renewable energy in the construction of commercial and residential buildings; 1 with recognized ability and experience in the use of energy conservation in the construction of commercial and residential buildings; and 1 mayor of a municipal corporation in which the Ohio residential and non-residential building codes are being enforced by a certified building department chosen from a list of 3 names submitted by the Ohio Municipal League.
