Qualifications
Governor appoints 3 public members, and House Speaker and Senate President each appoint 3 public members. Public members must be selected from among leading citizens in the state who have demonstrated interest in educational broadcast media through service on boards or advisory councils of educational television stations, educational radio stations, educational technology agencies, radio reading services, or through service or experience in broadcast, media, education, or government administration. Public members are voting members. Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Chancellor of Higher Education are voting members. Public members may include individuals who are public officials or employees.
