Deputy Superintendent for Banks | The Banking Commission membership was revised by Am. Sub. H.B. 49 of the 132nd G.A. Pursuant to section 130.24 of that act, the Commission will, on an interim basis, include former members of the abolished Savings and Loan Bank Board. |

8 appointed by Governor with advice and consent of Senate: at least 6 members must be executive officers of banks and all members must have banking experience as a director or officer of a bank, savings bank, or savings association insured by the FDIC, a bank holding company, or a savings and loan holding company. Membership must represent the banking industry as a whole and include representatives of banks of various asset sizes and ownership structures as determined by the Governor after consultation with the Superintendent of Financial Institutions. No person may be a member who has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to a felony involving an act of fraud, of dishonesty, or a breach of trust, theft, or money laundering. A member may not serve more than 2 consecutive full terms, except that a member may serve 2 consecutive full terms following remainder of a term for which the member was appointed to fill a vacancy.
