R.C. 103.51 defines "Apportionment Board" as the persons designated in Art XI, Sec. 1. That section of the Constitution refers to the board as the Ohio Redistricting Commission. The board meets on a date designated by the Governor between August 1 and October 1 in years ending in "1."
Qualifications
Governor; Auditor of State; Secretary of State; 1 person chosen by the Speaker of the House and the leader in the Senate of the party of which the Speaker is a member; and 1 person chosen by legislative leaders in the two houses of the major political party of which the Speaker is not a member.
