Qualifications
Governor appoints 11 members with the advice and consent of the Senate. No reappointment after serving a full 9-year term or more than 6 years of a 9-year term, until 4 years have elapsed since the last day of the term for which the trustee previously served. 2 members must be Akron University students and are nonvoting. Student members must be appointed from a group of 5 candidates selected pursuant to a procedure adopted by the student government and approved by the trustees. Student members are not entitled to attend executive sessions.
